My Thoughts:

Basically all I have to say is this, 'Its a Karen Witemeyer book.' That's all you need to know! That right there explains everything. Karen is an amazing, incredibly talented author.From the very first page she had me hooked. I hadn't even finished the prologue before I was in love with the characters. (And crying) She has such a way with words that draws you in and keeps you enthralled with the story until the very last page. Her characters are very real, it's as if you are right there with them,experiencing the story as one of them as they face problems that can relate back to you.

This story had a slight mystery involved. Not a lot, just enough to keep you wondering. But the teasing between Evie and Logan added a lighthearted aspect to the story that kept you smiling or laughing out loud.

Evie has struggled her whole life, always being shunned because of her different colored eyes. But she doesn't let that bring her down, doesn't let it take the joy out of her life. What a wonderful message! No matter what comes our way, if we have the Lord we can have rest and joy.

Logan learned to let God handle his problems, to let go of past hurts. They were a perfect match for each other.

This story of three unwanted orphans coming together to form a Patchwork Family will make you cry as she tugs on your heart strings, and laugh at the puns and banter.

So all this to say, it was an amazing book! I already want to re-read it! So what are you waiting for? Go get yourself a copy! You won't regret it, trust me.
