Review: Deadly Deceit by Natalie Walters

About The Book:

Independent and tenacious journalist Vivian DeMarco is back in Walton, Georgia, for one reason--to do her job and get out. When her boss suddenly dies under suspicious circumstances, Vivian's only hope for finding the truth--and the next big story--is small-town law enforcement's lanky poster boy, Deputy Ryan Frost. But the deeper they dig, the more twisted the truth becomes, and Vivian finds herself fighting for not only answers but also her life. False leads, incriminating emails, and someone called The Watcher force Vivian to confront the secret of her past and decide: How much is she willing to risk for the sake of a headline? Author Natalie Walters welcomes you back to Walton, Georgia, where everyone knows your name--but no one knows your secret.

My Thoughts:

You guys! I absolutely loved this book. Before I begin gushing about this story I first want to point out this story might not be for everyone. It does deal with some hard issues. This story deals with blackmail and there may be content not everyone is comfortable with. **

Okay, now I can gush! This book was so well written. The mystery flowed well and kept you guessing till the very end! This story dealt with past hurts, regret, bitterness and in the end forgivness and peace. It was amazing. I fell in love with Ryan and Vivian from the very begining.

Sometimes in a suspence story the romance feels forced. You end up wondering how they decieded they loved eachother when they were barely together and when they were they were working on a case. But not this story. Natalie has a gift for writing for sure! This was the first book I've read by this author and it defineitly won't be the last.

I highly recommend this story but for an older age group. 18+

**This story dealt with blackmail. That being said some of it talked about people doing drugs and hinted at couples being unfaithful and teens doing inappropriate things. A few of the kisses were semi-detailed as well.

Favorite Quote From This Book:

God gave her a family that had nothing to do with a shared bloodline and everything to do with love.

We all believe God is calling you to fulfill a purpose he created you for - you just have to believe it yourself.
