Review: Stay With Me by Becky Wade

About The Book:

When acclaimed Bible study author Genevieve Woodward receives an anonymous letter referencing her parents' past, she returns to her hometown in the Blue Ridge Mountains to chase down her family's secret. However, it's Genevieve's own secret that catches up to her when Sam Turner, owner of a historic farm, uncovers the source of shame she's worked so hard to hide. Sam has embraced his sorrow, his isolation, and his identity as an outsider. He's spent years carving out both career success and peace of mind. The last thing he wants is to rent the cottage on his property to a woman whose struggles stir his worst failure back to life. Yet can he bear to turn her away right when she needs him most?

My Thoughts:

If you are looking for a sweet contemporary, look no further then Becky Wade's newest series! It was a perfect mix of mystery and a cozy romance. But it isn't all a bed of roses for Genevieve. She is struggling, hard. And ended up right where God wanted her to be, at Sam Tucker's doorstep. He is perfect for her! The way the two of them helped each other grow, to get past old hurts, fears and guilt and move on in life. They challenged each other to grow spiritually and Gen learned that appearances aren't all that matter, that being real and true are important not only to others but to yourself.

Becky Wade dealt with some serious issues in this book, which I won't mention what because... spoilers! But I felt like she dealt with them wonderfully and the way the ending wrapped up... sigh. It was perfect, I may or may not have shed a few tears.

*Note: Author did speak of drug addiction*

I received this book for my honest review, all opinions are my own.

My Favorite Quote From This Book:

Relationships were painful and messy and beautiful and important. The mess came with the beauty. The pain came with the importance. That was life. And God was calling him to live it.
