Review: Ticket To Tomorrow by Carol Cox

About The Book:

Annie Trenton and her late husband's partner, Silas Crockett, step off the train at the great world's fair in Chicago and walk smack into political intrigue. When a stranger accidentally collides with Silas, more than a satchel is unintentionally exchanged, drawing Annie, Silas, and a handsome rodeo rider into a world of deceptions and conspiracies. When Annie's keen powers of observation threaten to expose devious plots, more than her exhibition plans hang in the balance. Will Annie lose her life before she has a chance to surrender her heart?

My Thoughts:

If I were to describe this book in two words it would be, Cozy Mystery. The whole story was just... sweet. The mystery wasn't intense, but it was there. Following along with Annie Trenton as she worked at the World's Fair was so fun! Seeing the sights through her eyes. The World's Fair has always intrigued me and I loved reading more about it.

And then there was Nick Rutherford. A performer for Bill Cody's Wild West Show he enjoyed the lime light. But in the end he had to make a decision to settle down or continue on performing. I enjoyed seeing his character grow as he spent more time with Annie. Her down to earth nature was perfect for him.

The spiritual content was strong and flowed perfectly with the story. Definitely recommend.

Favorite Quote From This Book:

''If people don't do their part to stand up for the right, what's to keep evil from taking over?"

It was just the way Annie did things, living out her faith as a natural part of her existence.

"You have to call on the Lord for help at the beginning of the problem instead of thinking of Him as a last resort."
